- The pain is allowed to reach 5 on the numeric pain rating scale during the activity.
- The pain after completion of the activity is allowed to reach 5 on the numeric pain rating scale.
- The pain the morning after the activity should not exceed 5 on the numeric pain rating scale.
- Pain and stiffness must not increase from week to week.
